Finally! Riot Games’ League of Legends is getting a version for phones and tablets. This new form of the game is called Wild Rift, and is said to be completely created from the ground up and refreshed for its new platform. OPPO phones are the first to which it will be rolled out in 2020.
Riot Games has announced that that it’s most successful MOBA game, League of Legends, is coming to consoles and mobile devices this 2020. Luckily for android players, the studio has indicated that it is coming to Android first. In fact, OPPO has secured an exclusive deal by which it gets the game on its phones first.
It is not yet announced for how long the game will be exclusive to Oppo. Riot Games asserts that it is more than a simple port from the PC. The new variant is having its own maps, controls, and experience apart from the classic 5v5 mode while sticking to its core features in the original PC version.
On the other hand, the developers have conceded that not all champs, skins or locks from the classic game will make it to mobile or console. The new version will also have shorter 15-20 minute matches, in accordance with fan feedback. League of Legends: Wild Rift is set to start becoming available from 2020; interested players can pre-register for Play Store, but not App Store, installs on the game’s website right now.
Avid players of the PC version will get rewarded depending on the number of hours they have spent playing League of Legends Summoner’s Rift.
