On a recent post from GeekFam, a Southeast Asian Dota 2 organization, they have announced that they decided to part ways with middle laner, Eric “Ryoya” Dong. Ryoya will not be playing with them for the upcoming WEPLAY! Bukovel Minor.
Hey fam, we have decided to part ways with our midlaner, Ryoya.— Geek Fam (@TeamGeekFam) December 17, 2019
Thank you to Ryoya for giving your best for the team. We wish you all the best in your future endeavours.

Ryoya was previously part of the North American team Beastcoast. He joined GeekFam after he decided to leave the squad that disbanded after failing to qualify for The International 2019 through the regional qualifier.
Replacing Ryoya is another veteran local Filipino player, Karl “Karl” Jayme, a Position 2 player who was previously with Team Amplfy.
Hey Fam! Let's give a warm welcome to our new geek to the team! Geek Karl will be our new midlaner! Welcome to Geek Fam, Karl! 💪😎#GeekFam #WhereGeeksBelong #OnceAGeekAlwaysFam #SummonYourStrength #PredatorGaming pic.twitter.com/hxswQZisxm— Geek Fam (@TeamGeekFam) December 18, 2019
Karl might not ring a bell in the Dota 2 pro scene outside the PH, he has been competing in lesser-known Dota 2 events in the SEA region, and was recently on Team Amplfy under Tier 1 Entertainment.
WePlay! Bukovel Minor will happen on January 9-12, 2019, where teams will be competing for US$300,000 and 660 DPC.
